There are people who cannot simply be described. They must be experienced, discovered slowly — through presence, voice, laughter. Anna Botter is one of those rare souls who, once they enter your life, leave behind a luminous and unforgettable mark.

For me, it was like that from the very first moment. She is a dear friend, a constant presence even in the darkest times — a generous and radiant woman who knows how to be both a safe harbor and the wind that pushes you forward.

Anna is energy, beauty, passion. She loves the sea as one loves a reflection of the soul. She loves colors with the same enthusiasm with which she lives life. She loves freedom as a personal creed. And what is extraordinary is that her freedom is not just an ideal — it is something she built day after day, through courageous choices, vision, and dedication. Long before the world began speaking about geographical freedom and financial independence, she was already walking that path. Today she lives in Salento, where the sea welcomes her daily like a silent accomplice.
Yet within Anna there are many other worlds: painting, well-being, authentic beauty that comes from within, and the enthusiasm of someone who continues to learn, share, and inspire. This interview is not simply a biography — it is a life journey. And as with every encounter that leaves a mark, we begin with who she truly is.
1 – Anna Botter: if you had to describe yourself today, speaking from the heart, how would you define yourself? Who is Anna, truly?
Anna today is a woman of almost 64 who loves her freedom, who wants to explore the world and live a little here and a little there — without constraints. She does not feel her age, although she smiles when she thinks about how she used to see women her age when she was 20 or 30. She believes that every day holds something special to experience, and her curiosity is always at the top.

2 – You have always been an independent, free, passionate woman. When was that hunger for freedom born within you?
I was born free. I remember, when I was about to marry my first husband, I asked the priest: “If one day we don’t get along, we can separate… right?” I wasn’t even 20 yet, and I believed marriage could be a beautiful experience.
But after the premature death of my father — I was only 19 and newly married — I understood that life is unpredictable. Today you are here… tomorrow, you don’t know. That is why life must be lived, not merely survived.

3 – Do you believe your thirst for freedom has always been part of your character? Or is it something you built and discovered over time?
My “wonderful” life, always lived at full speed, is the “gift” I received through my father’s passing. He always said we are only passing through. I did my best as the eldest sister, almost like a second mother, since my mother was very busy with the family business.
My father traveled often and made us dream through his stories — and especially through the gifts he brought from around the world. Perhaps that is why all five of us siblings travel so much today.

4 – You have a remarkable ability to communicate, inspire, and motivate others. How much of that is natural, and how much comes from experience and training?
I have always been very sociable. But I must say there was one person with whom I trained for 15 years — someone who became my mentor, almost a second father: Jim Rohn.
It was a true gift to know him and to spend time with him, learning about life.

5 – In the 80s and 90s, when few spoke about geographical or financial freedom, you were already dreaming — and building — a different lifestyle. Where did that vision come from?
Traveling felt natural to me. I had already seen the world through my father’s eyes. I have visited 87 countries — and I will visit more. My only regret is that I never took a trip with him. He left too soon.
6 – Your first business was in corporate promotional products. What do you remember about that phase of your professional life?
It was beautiful and interesting. It allowed me to meet many people, and it was the golden age of promotional products for companies. A lot of work, great satisfaction — and yes, great earnings too.

7 – Later, you discovered network marketing. What shifted inside you when you realized that could be your path?
I was already traveling before joining MLM, but I understood that I could create residual income. And that has immeasurable value.
8 – What did networking teach you about work, relationships, and life?
It taught me… everything. I have deep respect for the people who have walked beside me over these 34 years.
9 – You became a true leader, able to build teams and inspire others. How do you build leadership that leaves a mark?
For me, it was always natural. Passion. I was always myself — and before business, there was always heart.
10 – What role has passion played in your journey?
It has been fundamental in becoming who I am today.
11 – You have lived through difficult moments, like everyone. Yet people say your energy is contagious. Where do you find strength in harder days?
Beautiful question… I believe I know. Difficult days push us to improve — so they are welcome. Sometimes, from a crisis, a wonderful rebirth is born. I know my worth and what I am capable of. Simply that.
12 – The sea has always been central in your life. From Mestre to the Riviera del Brenta, and now Salento. What does the sea represent for you?
The sea gives me peace and makes me feel good. Salento and its sea helped me deeply last year when my mother passed away. She had turned 94 in January and left peacefully in her sleep on April 24.
My mother was my lighthouse, the best person I have ever known. A friend always ready to listen, always ready to encourage me. She always told me, “Anna, you can do it.” With her advice, everything felt possible. It was not easy to let her go, but I am grateful for the immense blessing of having her as my mother.

13 – Today you live in Salento, in close connection with nature. How did that decision come about?
It was “Monica and Antonio’s fault.” They decided to move there, and Monica involved me in the relocation and their wedding. When you work in MLM, you can live anywhere — and thanks to them, I discovered this wonderful land.
14 – Before Puglia there was the Riviera del Brenta. How did the places you lived influence you?
Living nearly 20 years in the Riviera del Brenta did me good. I love that area and know every road near those magnificent Venetian villas.
15 – Your lifestyle is rooted in beauty and well-being. What does self-care mean to you?
I am precious, and I must take care of myself. Morning walks, swimming, excellent nanotechnology supplements. All of this for my well-being — because I have only one body to live in.

16 – What daily rituals make you feel alive and centered?
Every day I must go to the sea. I now swim all year round. I know people who love the sea as much as I do, and together we take wonderful walks.
17 – What would you say to a woman who feels trapped in her routine and dreams of a freer, more authentic life?
Do not be afraid. Follow your dreams. Everything is possible if you truly want it. If you can dream it, you can do it.
18 – Are there books, people, or experiences that deeply inspired you?
As I mentioned, I had the great privilege of 15 years of training with Jim Rohn. And I have always had a beautiful family — many brothers and sisters, and eight wonderful nieces and nephews.

19 – And today, what fills your present?
Today I live each day building my future and nurturing my dreams. Where will I live in 2026? Still Salento, or somewhere new? Who knows… I have not decided yet.
[A final note from the heart…]
Deborah, whom I met many years ago in Padua, became a dear friend. It does not matter that she lives in Brazil and I in Italy. I have visited her a couple of times — and I must say, I truly like Brazil.

I had the great privilege of knowing both her father and her mother — such special people who shaped a daughter as special as you, Debby.
Thank you for this beautiful interview. I love you. — Anna

And I thank you, Anna, for opening your heart and sharing such an authentic glimpse into your life.
But this is only the first part of our encounter. Soon, we will also tell another fundamental side of your journey: your work, your ventures, and your vision of business.
